The Government wants to start TAXING Car Boot Sales
Car boot sales are one of the few low cost days out for many people , they also recycle a lot of goods that would end up in landfill and also create some income for sellers and traders alike surely during the current economic climate in my opinion this is a really bad idea.
Why not tax the banking industry some more - those that caused the economic problems in the first place!
I imagine the wealthy bankers who got us into this financial mess don't visit car boot sales often!
I also think its wrong to tax car boot sales as if they do, they will be taxing used goods twice once when they are purchased new and again when they are sold on at a car boot sale as part of an entry or pitch fee.
Remember if the taxes do go ahead, some car boot sales may start to charge for entry or increase pitch fees or even close completely.
