BootMans Best Bootsale Bargains

Spring is here and the Boot Sales have started to get into full swing helped by the mild April weather.

I will kick off this section with some of My Best Finds collected over the last few years of my boot sale visits.

Unfortunately I havent yet found the Lost John Harrison's fabled lesser watch, made famous by Del & Rodney Trotter in Only Fools and Horses, or anything like a high value antique, maybe one day Cheesy

But I had many a pleasant morning treasure hunting at Car Boot Sales and have grabbed a few bargains to Boot - Excuse the Pun!

Some friends think I am crazy getting up at the crack of dawn to walk round a Boot Sale in a muddy field, but as you can see from the small selection below there are bargains to be had, also its good exercise and good for the environment too as a lot of boot sale items would end up being just thrown away!

Here are a few of my best finds:

Atari Jaguar Games Console purchased for £1.50 fully boxed with some games - Sold to a retro games collector for £50!
Good Quality Russian 10x50 Binoculars with multi coated lenses 50p - Worked perfectly until I dropped them and now they are Cross Eyed!

Xbox 1 Console Fully working for£3 - Still got the console and works great I play the original Halo Game now and then - brilliant game - got the game from a Car Boot Too!
Canon Ixus 2.1 Digital Camera for £1 - Superb Camera ok its only 2 megapixel but fine for taking ebay size photos it did need a new battery (battery cost more than camera) and a Memory Card to get it working, But only at a boot sale could you find a digital camera cheaper than a Hot Dog!

Bosch Hot Air Gun for £1.50 - these are about £30 in the Shops - Great for my electronic repair work!

Seiko Quarts Wristwatch £1 from the 1970's - just needed a battery and a clean - keeps good time excellent!

Goodmans Freeview Box with 80GB Hard Disk Recorder for £5 - Great item still working fine! - Looking for a Freeview HD one now

Dreamcast console - had no leads / Controllers etc but Works Fine - for 50p
Good Quality 25w Antex Soldering Iron with Metal Coil Stand for £2 Great Bargain!
